Meaning of GAIA: 

 

Spirit of Mother Earth “GAIA” is the Greek Goddess of the Earth.

Launched in 2002, GAIA Natural Baby was created by a mum Michelle Vogrinec after her baby developed eczema when he was just 8 weeks old. Michelle couldn't find skin care products suitable for little Josh's skin which led her to create a range of gentle non-irritating products that care for his skin.   

 

As the family was lived on a certified organic produce farm, Michelle did some market research into the different herbs and oils that would benefit irritated skin conditions and began by making her own herbal infusions to put in Josh’s bath. She finally found a way to cleanse, soften and care for Josh’s skin without causing further irritation to his eczema.  

 

Although the GAIA Skin Naturals story began on a farm, our products are manufactured in professional laboratories by experts that are passionate, resourceful and knowledgeable. 

 

GAIA constantly test and improve the products so that you can feel comforted that they’re doing everything they can do to help – just as baby Josh must have felt all those years ago.
